Well, here we are guys! I officially live in Hamilton, Mass. I’ve missed you, and hopefully you have missed me too. I’m sure you have.
I’m at a writing workshop right now, so hopefully by the end of it I’ll be on my way to editorial perfection. I can feel the transformation happening already.
We got in late Sunday night, like, too late for this girl, but it felt g00d waking up in our bed. Even if it was in the middle of the floor amidst dozens of boxes. We dragged ourselves out of bed with visions of Starbucks dancing in our heads, and somehow we powered through a day of unpacking. Our living room went from this:
In a matter of hours. Piles of trash and boxes located directly behind the camera 🙂
As you can see, we have a fabulous window in our main room, and I wanted to create a little spot where Marshall and I could sit and eat breakfast together. It took some maneuvering, but I think I worked it out well enough.
So far our taste of New England has included cool breezes, fresh produce, fried seafood, and varying degrees of Bostonian accents. I love it already. We have received cookies and muffins from welcoming neighbors, and I don’t miss southern hospitality, yet.
I do miss the pets though. I’m afraid that won’t leave me until they are back in my arms, but I’m trying so hard to be strong.
It’s good to be back talking to
you guys (yeah right!) y’all, hopefully once our internet is working at home it will be business as usual. I’ve got so much more to tell you! And if you’re good, I’ll show you some of the writing I’ve been doing at the workshop.
ps. did you know that you can get my posts sent directly to your inbox as soon as i hit publish? check out the “follow” button on the right side of the screen. it’s pretty neat.
